FRIDAY NIGHT SPECIALS

Once a month, on a Friday, we will offer something different for us all to experience as a community. These nights are a time for all kinds of special gatherings: live music yoga classes, yogic scripture study, asana technique labs, movie screenings and much more. Some in-school gatherings will be followed by out-of-school time spent locally, together, as a community.

It is a continuation of sharing yoga in different environments, building relationships between students and teachers and bringing us all together to ensure we keep on keeping on.

Sense Withdrawal w / Mick

April 19 — 6pm

In this special, Mick will guide us through the experience of Pratyahara (sense withdrawal), the 5th and often overlooked limb of yoga.

What does sense withdrawal mean? Can understanding our senses and the stimuli they constantly seek impact our overall peace and well-being? How often do we respond to the arousal of our senses and react without the slightest contemplation as to their nature?

Without giving too much details, this will be an unusual class in which we will try to understand the dilemma of our senses and the impact of sense indulgences on our lives.
